Tui left Foxton at 3 p.m. on Thursday, 4th inst., and arrived at Opunake at S a.m. folio wiug day ; owing to a heavy S.W. swell, was unable to land ; proceeded on, and arrived at Waitara at 4 p.m. ifSßie day; discharged cargo, and remained barbound until Friday, the 12th ; left at 11.30 a.m. with a load of stock for Manukau, arriving there at 11 a.m. next day ; left Manukau at 3.30 p.m. on 15th, and arrived at Waitara at 2 p.m. next day; loft r Waitara at 2.30 a.m. on 17th, and arrived off Opunake at 9 am. same day ; owing to strong northerly gale was unable to land, and ran back to Taranaki for shelter, anchoring there at 3 p.m. ; left again at midnight for Opunake ; southerly weather still prevailing, had to bring up under Cape Egmont at 7.30 a.m. on 19th ; weather moderating, made a start at 3 a.m. on Saturday, the 20th; arrived at Opunake at 6 a.m. on Sunday, landed 40 tons cargo, and left at 6 p m., arriving at Foxton ft 9a. in. yesterday. The Tui sailed again in the afternoon for Wellington and Southern ports. The schooner Julius Yoge], laden vith timber and hound to Wellington, was towed to sea by the Tui yesterday rooming. Tho Hiuraki has be«n purchased by Messrs Harvey and Greenwodd, formerly proprietor* of the p.s bamson, who intend taking her to Wellington, where they have arranged to have her converted into a screwboat. Shn left Waitara today, and it is expected that she will return in about five weeks, bearing a new name -the Raleigh —and a very different appearance. Her new owners, we believe, intend putting her in the Waitara • Manukau trade. It is understood that the angines which were taken out of tho steamer Egruont will be put in the Hnuraki. — Evening Post.
