Jane Douglas arrived at Foxton on Tuesday lasfc from Wellington. Owing to the heavy S. W. wind which blew on Wednesday she did not leave until Thursday, when she took her departnrejfor Wellington, Kaikouia, and Lyttelton. Mrjiws Freeman & Wyld's kofceh Emerald. Ciptain Moore, arrived from Lyttelton on Wednesday lasfc, having left that port ou the Friday previous. The Emerald arrived off the bar at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, and stood off until the morning's tide, when she crossed the bar with a good breeze from the S. W. The Bchoonet brought up a large cargo of New Zealand produce. She will load her next cargo of timber for the Waitara, and will be ready for sea early next week. The Tui is expected to call at Foxton on her way from Waitara to Wellington. {She may arrivo today. The latest news about the Livadia, the yacht designed by Admiral Popoff for the • lafce Czar, comes from St. Petersburg. The Novosti, a newspaper published there, says that the vessel will, on its arrival at Sebastapool. if she survives the voyage.be broken up. The Russians have been unfortunate in their floating speculations, the Volunteer Fleet having also been discovered to be a mistake, tlio vessels being only of use for commercial purposes, for which they will be retained afc the cost of a heavy annual subsidy.
