The following is the report of the Christchurch Corn Exchange for the week ending Friday evening, the llth inst. : — Nothing has transpired during the week which Calls for any Bpeeial mention, and values are unaltered. Wheat is still being delivered at all the country stations in very large quantities. Great praise is due to the railway authorities for the efficient manner in which the grain has been forwarded tb the port. A considerable portion of the grain exported this year is on grower's account. Although the yield has been exceptionally good this continuous drain will soon bare the market. Wheat.— Firet-class milling samples are being sold at from 3s 4d to .Ss Gd ; Tuscan, 3s 7d to 3s 9d, free on board in Lyttelton. Samples of a quality not equal to the foregoing 2d per bushel under these quotations. Chick wheat ranges from ls 9d to 2s Gd per bushel. Oats.— Rather a better enquiry is manifest, although prices are not altered. Qood stout milling are saleable at from ls Ci to ls 7d per bushel ; feed parcels, Is 3d to Is 5.1. Barley.— Good malting samples are saleable at from 2s 6d to 3s per bushel. Large lines of exceptionally good quality, 3s 3d to 3s Gd per bushel. Second rate malting samples are exceedingly unsaleable. Feed barley Is Gd to ls lOd per bushel. Grass seed continue, to be in good demand, with more parcels offering than within the two preceding weeks. Well cleaned farmers' samples are worth from 2s Gd to 3s Gd per bushel, badly cleaned entirely depends oh quality. Cocksfoot 2Ad to 2gd per lb, according to quality. Cheese and Butter. — There is no alteration to note in values ; the former is worth from 3d to 3£d, the latter 6£d to 7d per lb. — — — —^ ____________■ _— ______________ _■»
