ENTERTAINMENT.

An entertainment waa given at the Public Hall on Wednesday evening. The first part consisted of musical selections and the second part was contributed by the Foxton Christys. It is unnecessary for us to refer in detail to the items given, but speaking generally we may say the entertainment passed off with fair success, several items being encored. The City Rifles' Band performed some beautiful music, a cornet duet by Messrs Gray and Hodge being especially fine.
