OTAKI HIGHWAYS BOARD.

The Board met on January 11, at 2 p.m. Present — Messrs Simcox (Chairman), Kebbell, Hadfield, and M'Crae. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. Form, with note written thereon, from Accountant of Public Works, received and read. Proposed by Mr Kebbell, seconded by Mr M'f'rae, and earned, " That in the absence of the Wardens representing those Wards adjacent to the Manawatu river, the letter from the Chairman of the Foxton Haibour Board be postponed until next meeting." Notices of motion by Messrs M'Crae and Hadfield were withdrawn, by leave of the Board. Accounts amounting to £12 12s 6d were passed for payment. A standing order was made that the Board meet on the second Tuesday in the month ; the next meeting to be held on Tuesday, February 8.
