THE HYDRABAD.

Operations for the floating of the HyIrabad are now all complete, and it ia confidently expected ehe will come off on next spring tides, about Tuesday first. Tiie Stormbird, on hor trip up on Wednesday last, laid a large anchor about 120 fathoms away from the vessel, to which was attached a steel hawser, capable of bearing a tremendous strain. This work, one of no small difficulty, was performed in five minutes nnder the hour. It is the intention of Mr Kelty, who is superintendthe work, if the vessel floats, to have ber towed to Kapiti by ono of the coasting steamers, and thence to Wellington by a large steamer. Workmen are now (Thuraday) fitting wood on to the rudder, to replace the lower six feet whioh waa earned av-diy, so as to enable the vessel to be steered. It is thought there ia still a 1 .rge amount of cargo in the ship, in addition to sand, and other debris, and if this is not sufficient to ballast her, some other ballast will be put on board, probably water in tanks. The pumps are in good working order, and unless something unforseen happens, the good ship may once more be in her native element It is sincerely to be hoped that Mr Kelty's enterprise aud pluck will be rewarded in the manner it deserve*.
