The following is tho result of tho election : — Ward No. 1. — Wr S. Ho wan pu posed Mr Theophilus Huston. Mr Thynnt. seconder thu in-mina"ion, and tliere being no other canrlidntri, Mr Huston was duly eli'c L-d Ward N?> 2. — Mr CJrwcr proposed Mr. liolicrt Cobb, who was seconded by Mr Robert Cohb, and clecied, there being nn oi her eaivlid-ite. Ward No. 3 — ~Slr P. Xeylon proposed ?Ir J. W. Uower, who was seconded by All '.fuerin, and elected uii'>nposp.d. Wud Xo. -I.— Mr J. P.i'-ccll proposed \lr F. >S. Thy nne, who was seconded by ilr J. W. G-owor and elected unopposed. Ward No. .j— Mr J. Rousall proposed Mr J. Cifter, who iv:n seconded by Mr J. A. Stnitli, and eleccd iuii>j posed. At the close of the election, the usual vote of th:ink3 to the lie-turning Officer was passed ;md Ho proc^e-'linu's tc-nniuatcd.
