The traia, on leading Wellington, consisted of two engines, two breaks, and 15 carriages, but had to be lengthened befqre leaving the Hutt. In all, about 700 people traveled. The train was melj in Masterton by about 2000 people, and a procession, headed by a band, marched from the station to the town. The Mayor of Masterton read a congratulatory - address. No mishap whatever occurred/ and the weather was beautifully finer I
