The'steamer Oreti, 117 tons.Junder command of Captain Grazer, a wellknown southern skipper, arrived in port at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, having left Wanganui at !<• o'clock the previous nijjht. Sho was- to have left for Lyttelton yesterday forenoon, with a ca r jro of eleepers, but owing to a heavy gale from the northwest coming on, could not get away. If the wind has sufficiently moderated, she will leave about noon today. The Tui arrived from Wellington on Tuesday, and started on the return trip on Wednesday morning, but owing to the heavy wind and *e» on the bar, the Pilot deemed it adv'sable not to let her proceed to *ea. The Jane Douglas has gone on to Kaikoura and Lyfctelton, and is advertised to leave Wei in^ton for here tomorrow (Saturday) evening.
