TO THE HHTOB OF THE MANAWATU HERALD Siß,~-At the last meeting of the Education Board a letter was read from the Motoa School Committee, stating that the school was not closed on account of the roads, but by the treatment of the children by the teacher, and the irregular houra of the school. The above statement is false. The Motoa School was closed on account of bad roads. I heard no complaints that the children were ill-treated by the teacher With respect to irregular hours, they were according to the wish of the Committee. I am, &c, W. K. Howe, Motoa.
