The steamer Ripple arrived from the Solomon Islands yesterday morning, with ouly the Captain, three Karakas, tho Mite, an Engineer, steward, and a passenger | named William Tense and five wounded Kanakas, one of whom is not expected to recover. The Captain reports that while trading at one of the Islands with some natives who had come on board, the latter suddenly attacked them. The crew repelled the assault with difficulty, but killed fifty of the natives.
