Martox, August 7. Messrs Becltett, Hammond, nnd Dick, repor|*,a3 follows : — We beg to advise having hela a very satisfactory sale of gruin and produce on Saturday last. This was the first of a series we intend holding on the first Saturday of each month, and was largely patronised, buyers coming from all round the district, both Foxton and Wanganui beins; represented. OAtfs.— About 2,000 bushels of oats were passed under the ht miner at prices ranging from Is 6d to Is 10(1 for seed parcels. The demand lor the better samples was, however, small. Wheat. — 400 bushels of milling bronght 4s 7d ; two small lots of spring, for seed, realised 5s fid ; chickwheat, 12s 6d per bag. Barley. — One small lot only was sold at 2s Sd, the quality being inferior. G-RA9S Seed. — Rye (English), small parcel, 4s 6d ; ditto, local, 3s. One lot of cocksfoot, 28 bags, was quitted at 3d per Ib. Dairy Produce. — Keg butter, s£d, to 7|d per )b ; cheese, 7d to B£d. Bacon & Hams. — Kqual number of sides and harag, 7^d. One small lot, being especially well got up, reached Bd. Onions.— ln bags, l£d to lid per lb ; do, strung, 2d per lb. Sheepskins, 3M to 5d per lb ; Hides, Id to 2|d. Wellington, Friday.
