This ia to certify thxt I have this day sold to Mr F. H. and Mrs C. J. Cook, for their children, the following twenty four head of cattle, branded C B on the rump, namely : 1 white bull 5 cows Is 5 heifers stamp. 4 steers 1 wild cow 3 bull calves 5 calves For the sum of eighty-five pounds, part payment, amounting to fifteen pounds, being now made, and the balance of seventy, less £19 12s 6d for grazing, to be paid as a final settlement. — Henry BRowN,Trustee. Witness— T. U. Cook." I also hold a receipt dated April 20, 188P, f0r £5 ; June 22, 1880, £2 ; order on me to pay W S. Staite £15, dated April 21, 1880; also I have become responsible for £6 8s 9d. cost of half a ion of flour, ordered on July 1, 188(T, at Brown's requestall the above payments being on behalf of the said cattle.
