The proposed appropriation of £35,000 on the Public Works estimates only covers the amount actually spent since the commencement of the financial year*and liabilities incurred. H.M.S. Raleigh sailed for England this morning, taking Sir H. Robinson's son as a naval cadet. The ship Rodell Bay, from Glasgow, with the first portion of the new waterworks plant on board, is at the Heads.
