Colonial Pr->ducH —Wheat— We. tale the following from a C mterbury • circular : — " The inquiry for wheat i« very active, and people are buginnin,; to feel that this creal Has been over exported, and that the stocks now held will hardly be adequate for local requirement*, consequently the price is rapidly advancing, and this week alone it has increased in value 3d per bushel. Owing to the scarcity of wheat, many vessel* on the berth are completely stopped loading for want of this grain, and shippers are making arrangements for them to carry oats instead, with a moderate amount of wheat as stiffening" Flour— Owing to advicps from the South holders and our local millers advanced their prices on Wednesday last 10<* per ton, and yesterday a further rise of 10s was reported. A Southern advice stutes as follows:— " Millers find great difficulty in buying suitable parcels of grain, which will be more apparent as the season a 'vances, and we may look for a further rise shortly ; no orders will be booked for forward delivery except at an advance." JVc trust that the quality of flour will not be depreciated by the use of wheat of an inferior quality, of which we hear the supplies nre large. Chickwheat. — The market continues to be supplied in excess of requirements, without, however, any change from our last ween's quotations. <>atß have ri-en in value, and at present our market is barely supplied. The .Southern price for fair feed is Is 8d f 0.b., and they report their market as steadily hardening, and advanced rated may be anticipated Potatoes. — No supplies of any consequence have reaahed us during the week ; present quotations are £2 158 per ton, and we look for a further rise in prico. Other dejcriptionaof colonial produce have undergone no vJfßtions in values sinoe our last.
