General Burrows' Brigade, numbering 3000 men, was attacked by Ayoub Khan's force, numbering 12,000. The British lost two guns, and being outnumbered fled. The enemy cut the telegraph wires in order to prevent the British from obtaining reinforcements. Generals Phayre and Sandeman are now concentrating their forces in Bolan Pass. London, July 29.
