The following was published as an Extra on Tuesday morning :— Melbourne, Monday night. Hart and Dan Kelly were burned to death in the hotel. Byrne is also dead. Ned Kelly has been taken to Benalla. The child belonging to Jones, the hotel-keeper at Gle*aroT?an, where the affray took place, is 'dead. iv Melbourne, June 30. If is currently 'reported that fiart's brother, with fifty armed men, are tit Greta, a township about seven miles from Glenrowan, the scene- 'of .Monday's tragedy, and intend to resist the holding of an inquest on the . bodies of Dan Kelly, Steve Hart, and Bryne. Strong bodies of police, fully armed, have been sent from Benalla and Wangaratta to Glenrowan. It , is feared that terrible bloodshed may result if the rumour prove correct, and there is great excitement everywhere in consequence. Later. Nothing further has been received from Greta. The coroner has permitted the burial of the lodies of the outlaws without holding an inquest. The police, therefore, refrain from going to Greta, and the excitement is gradually subsiding.
