The steamer Jane Douglas has been doing some '[good .-work this week. She arrived from' Wellington on Tuesday last, discharged and loaded cargo, and left again at 4 pjn. same day for Wellington. She discharged, and loaded again next day, and flailed again in the evening for Foxton, arriving in port at 8 o'clock yesterday morning.. Discharged .and loaded ngain yesterday, and sailed for Wellington on the return trip at -Hirthe afternoon. The topsail soKboners Dido and Mary King arrived fromLytteltou on Wednesday evening. Both vessels brought colonial produoe, and will load sleepers for the South. The sohooner ' Saucy Lass arrived from Wellington in ballast, on Wednesday. She proceeded up the river to tbePaiaka Mill to load a cargo of timber. The schooner Alert has met with quick despatch. She entered at the Cuatoirs on the 19th, discharged a cargo of colonial produce, and loaded up 14-30 eleupeia, in the space of three days. The Alert cleared outwards at the Customs yesterday morning, and proceeded down the river.
