Mr Duncan would not allow us to haul up the cow which we rescued from tue late floods, on his land, I wish, in justification, toftstute that he merely requested us to move the bo»t further up the river— still on his land— whero tho bank was not so steep, and whore' it would have been easier to get the oow up.
