THUS PUBLIC WORKcS OFFICE, HAWEKA, until NOON on TUESDAY, the 17th February, 1880, for Gravelling two contracts, Nos. -1 and 6, of about one mile and a half each on the main line of road north of the Waingoiigoro River. They must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works, and marked outside " Tender for Giavelliug." Specifications and conditions may be seeu at the Public Works Offices, ! Wellington, Wacganui, Hawera, and New Plymouth ; also at the Post Office, Carlyle ; Telegraph Office, Normanby ; and at the Armed Constabulary Camp at Opunake. Telegraphic tenders similarly addressed and marked will be received as above if presented at any telegraph office by Noon of the same date, provided th*-.t written tenders in due form am lodged at any of the above-named offices by the same hour, and accompanied by a deposit cheque on some bank in the town where the tender is lodged for the j amount named in the specifications, such cheque to be specially marked by a banker as good for twenty-one days, and to ho in favor of the lleceiv-er-GmeraVs Deposit Account only, and not to bearer or order. The lowest or any tender ffill not necessarily be accepted.
