Tuesday, February 10, 1880. (Before A. J. Hadneld^aßd W. H, Simepx, Epqs., and Dr. Hewgon, V ' CIVIL CASE. An adjourned case. — John Harpei v. Wm. flyger. — Claim £1 10s Od. No appearance of defendant. Judg< raent by default for the amount claimed and costs, £2 Is Od. ASSAULT. Karaitiana Te Tupi, a young chief, was charged with having assaulted Hapi te Rangatawhate on Monday, 9th February. Defendant pleaded not guilty, and stated the summons was suddenly served upon him in the morning, and asked that the case might be adjonrned to enable him to produce witnesses. Case adjourned to 2nd March.
