Specifications and conditions may be seen at the Public Works Offices, j Wellington, Wanganui, Hawera, and New Plymouth; also at the Post Office, Carlyle ; Telegraph Office, .Norinanby ; and at the Armed Constabulary Camp at Cpunake. Telegraphic tenders similarly addressed aud marked will be received as above if presented at any telegraph office by Noon of the same date, provided thst written tenders in due form are lodged at any of the above-named offices by the same hour, aud accompanied by a deposit cheque on some bank in the town where tha tender is lodged for the amount named in the specifications, such cheque to be specially matked by a banker as good for twenty one days, and to be in favor of tlw Mecet'v-er-GmeraVs Deposit Account only, and not to bearer or order. The lowest or any tender <eill not necessarily be accepted. N.B. — Parties tendering will be required to prospect for and find a supply of gravel as near the work as possible ; and each tenderer must state the least number of teams he intends to employ on the work ; not less than ten teams, however, shall be employed on any one contract.
