The Stewards and other officers of the meeting 1 worked hard and gave general satisfaction. The races are said to have been tho best ever held here, and attracted a large number of visitors, among whom I noticed several from the Wellington country districts, Rangitikei, and Foxton, though nut bo many as could bo wished from '.ho last place. There were two Grand Stands and two publicans' booths, which seemed to be well patronised.
