The steamer Jane Douglas left the wharf jou- Friday morning, but had to anchor und wait for the evening's tide, when she oieared the bar shortly after 6 o'clook for her destination. The Stormbird sailed for Wellington on Sunday looming last. She towed tho schooner Elibank Castle, lo?ded with sleepers, and bound for Dunedin, out to sea. :The steamer Huia left Wellington at 4 p.m. on Saturday, experienced fim; weather and smooth yea, and arrived at the wharf at 9 o'clock following morning. The keich Far>ny Thornton is now londjhg a cargo of telegraph poles for Wellington.
