Whilst undergoing repairs last week, the Douglas was thoroughly overhauled and re-painted, and this favorite trader is now in first-rate order. She left for Wellington via Bangitikei at 8 o'clocjc yesterday morning. The sohooner Falcon, which left here on the 15th of last month for Lyttelton, has returned to Foxton for another load of timber. Captain Leslie reports having left Lyttelton at 6 a.m. on Sunday last, with a fresh S.W. breeze, and by 8 o'clock on the following morning was off Kapiti; anchored oflEthebar at 8 o'clook the same evening; waited for a change of wind, and crossed at 9 o'clook on Wednesday morning. The Falcon arrived in ballast, and will load timber from the Kairakau Mill for Lyttelton. The bchooner Aspusia arrived from Picton on Wednesday las f, in ballast. She will load telegraph poles for Wellington. The ketch Fanny Thornton arrived from Wellington in ballast last Wednesday. She will also load telegraph poles for Wellington. The steamer Stormbird left Wellington at 7 p.m. on Wednesday la.-t, and arrived in port shortly after 11 n«xt morning. She will leave again for Wellington thU morning. The schooner Elibank Castlo finished her oading of Hleepera yesterday. She will sail for Dunedin on the first opportunity.
