OTAKI HIGHWAY BAORD.

Wednesday, Januahy 14. The Board met at 2.30 p.m. Present — Messrs Bimcox (Chairman), M'Crae, Davies. and Dr. Hewson. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. The valuation roll for 1880 was considered and passed. The necessity of a pound at Otaki was discussed, and it was proposed by Dr. ilewson,- seconded by Mr Davies, ' and carried, " That the Chairman write to the County Council, requesting that further action be taken respecting a public pound in the district." . Mr Kebbell'B notice of motion re office expenses was struck out, owing to the absence of the mover. It was resolved, on motion of Dr. Hewson, seconded by Mi' M'Crae, .
