(beuter's telegbams.) London, December 29. During a heavy gale a portion of the Tay bridge whs destroyed. The train proceeding from Edinburgh to Dundee, while crossing shortly afterwards, fell through the casiug of the bridge into the river, and an enormous loss of life ensued, although the exact particulars have not yet been received. It is feared that 200 persons are drowned. The Empress Eugene proceeds to gululandin February.
