A NEW ZEALAND EXHIBITION.

We have received the following circular from W. FT. Warron, Ksq.. Secretary of the Wellington Local nduslries Association : — Wellington, 27th November, 1879. Sik,— By direction of the Committee of the Wellington Local Industries Association I have the honor to inform you that a movement , just commenced, is on foot for holding a comparative Exhibition of the productions of all nations in Wellington, to follow the Exhibition of Melbourne in 1880. The plan upon which the prelim in* ary atrangements are basf:d, is, that, the Exhibition shall be essentially the people's Exhibition, and it is anticipated 'hat by a subscription of one shilling each from the people of the Colony, a large sum of money may be raised, which the Government will be asked to supplement, in fact, taking advantage of the present session of Parliament this has been anticipated by a request, already preferred in the above direction. This, then, is a brief outline of our views so far as regards the preliminary arrangements. The scheme is being organised, and its success will depend mainly upon the support which it will receive from the Press of New Zealand. The Committee direct me therefore to solicii yont support, and request that, if approving, you wdl kindly give publicity to the proposals through the columns of your valuable journal.
