LICENSING COURT, OTAKI.
Tuesday, Deoembeb 2, 1879. (Before R. Ward, Esq., R.M., Chairman, and Key. J. M'William and Dr. Hewson, Commissioners.) CLl'B HOTEL, OTAKI. Wm. ITdy applied for a license for a j building owned by Wm. Langloy, to be r called the Club Hotel. Sub-Inspector G-oodall objected on tho * same grounds. af> he had offered at lart sitting. There was no increase of population, nor was any want expressed by travellers, beside wbich the building was not equal in any way to the house now licensed. Mr Udy supported his application. He promised to make any alterations and additions required by tha Court; also, he pointed out that many persons bad over and over again asked that a second house might be licensed, A wrfttcn objection was also banded in from Wra. Grr enough, proprietor of the Telegraph Hotel, stating that he had sufficient accommodation, and would increase it when necessary. The Bench said they saw no reason why the previous decision should be altered. Application dismissed.
