Sydney, Monday. Seven bushrangers yesterday stuck up tho Natabadgery Hotel arid station, taking arms, ammunition, money, and horses. Four policemen from Wagga Wagga were d«spatched in pursuit, aud encountered the bushrangers. The police lost their horses, and were compelled to retreat, but nobody was wounded. The Clarendon mail was also stuck up. A strong body of polica have gone in pursuit. Later. A telegram from Gundagai to-night states that a desperate encounter took plaeo between the police and bushrangers. Two of the latter were shot dead, and one was wounded. Two * of the bushrangers surrendered, and one escaped.- One of the constables was seriously wounded in the affray. Tuesday. The Natabadgery Bushrangers bailed up over thirty persons. Moonlight and Nesbitt were among the gang. The former was leader; he was captured uninjured.' Three civilians going to assist the police fell into an ambuscade. They were given five minutes to prepare for death. The police ' arriving a desperate- fight ensued. Later.. The sixth bushranger captured was found concealed in a house close to the scene of the encounter. The . constable wounded yesterday is in a critical state. The Natabadgery Bushrangers have been identified as Victorians. Five- youths, under the leadership of Captain Moonlite, intended to rob the Gundagai Bank. London, Novfiinber 17. The ordeis given to Admiral Hornby to proceed eastward have j been countermanded. • I Bbisbane, Tuesday. Two hundred blacks attacked seven Chinamen fishing north of Cooktown/spearing one*
