The ss Jane Douglas did not put in an appearance till Tuesday evening at 6.3*1, having been detr.ined two days at the Waitara iiver. She left Wellington on Thursday evening, and arrived off Waitara at 6 p.m. next dny ; crossed next morning, and anchored inside the'bnr, reaching the wharf next day ; diHuh:irge.l 40 tons cargo ; called nt Opunako on Inr wny down to leave a few tons cargo.aud arrived in port us above, experiencing fine weather throughout the passage^ ' The Douglas took in some (iuOO feet of timber early on Wednesday morning, and sailed fo/Wellington at 8 o'clock. The Stormbird arrived in port on Tuesday morning from Wellington, having left the latter port the previous evening ; experienced fine weather on the passage. She returned to port at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, The schooner Falcon ariived in port from Wellirgton on Wednesday. She discharged her ballast near the Ferry, and will load up with sleepers for the South. The Martha Reid has almost finished her loading, and will receive early despatch.
