The s.s. StorifibirJ, Captain Doile, left Wellington at 4 p.m. on Monday, and :irrived at the wharf shortly before 7 o'clock the following morning. She returned to Wellington at 5.45 jp.m. same day, taking 200 sheep. The Stormbird, which left Foxton on Tuesday evening last, roachod Wellington at noon yesterday. Her lengthened p.-is-snge was doubtless caused by tho heavy southerly gale blowing through tho Straits, and which was felt hero on Tuesday evening. We nre informed that the schooner Maggie Paterson was r,o leave Dunedin for this port yesterday, laden with colonial produce. Sho will load a cargo of sleepers for tho South. The .Tane Douglas is anvcrtised to leave Wellingt n for this port to-day.
