Wool.— The third series of sales this season commenced on 12th insfc., and, so fur, values do not appear to be much altered from last series, exoopt that, as anticipated in our last month's circular, crossbied wools are again materially lower, especially the inferior descriptions, which nro estimated to have given way a further Id per lb. We see but small prospects o{ recovery from this low range of value for crossbred wo-il. and our friends in New Z-alnml should, therefore, be prepared for small returns next season Tallow. — An improvement of 6d per cwt has to be chronicled during the past f->ur weeks, best mutton being now at 3U, and beef 31s 9d, but inferior sort j are relatively higher, mid wo have certainly a more steady market than for some time past: . Hides and leather are both firm in value, hides having advanced about |-d per lb, and leather about -J-i. Stocks aro light, and we think a still further improvement may be anticipated Basils me without qaotuble change, but arc, perhaps not quitu so firm as th'jy have been. Kauri Gnna is still a strong market, and medium kinds heave iidvariccd 3s to -is per owfc. Stocks continue light and prospects good. Wheat. — There has been some reaction from the rise alluded to in our last, and pis per 4961bs ex store would be a full value for the best wheat either from Adelaide or New Zealand to day. Flour is quoted at Sißs to 30s per 2801ba. The weather has become more seasonable during the past fortnight, but the English harvesi v ust still be very late and cannot be a large oae under any circumstancos —Johnston and Allubp.
