She reports leaving Wellington on ■* Wecfaesday, at 7.40 n.m. ; arrived off the ■ "'bar^t 6 a.m. on Thursday, crossed at 0, and waited off the Stormbird for about an hour, reaching the wharf at 11 a.m. The Jone Don«rlns leaves for Wellington to-day. The rs Tui,' Captain rlolmes, left Wellington shortly after 7 V- m on Wednesday; after passing Kapiti proceeded under easy steam ; crossed the bar at 8.45 yesterd vy mqrninif, and reached the Tvharf at 9.30. The^Tui broaghfc a full cargo of general merchandise. The p.s. Samson, Captain Bascand. steamed down from Hartley's wharf to the Mary Ogilvie yesterday morning, and obtained ICT tons of coal, after transhipping •which she proceeded on to the assistance of the Btormbird ; last |>ight the Samson proooeded' to Kapiti with another cargo of Hydrabad material for the Matilda, which vessel she will tow to Wellington. The Mary Ogilvie, brigantine, arrived off the b. ar last Saturday, from Greymouth, laden with coal 5 she was towed in by the Stormbird on Wednesday morning, and is now anchored about five miles down the river The schooner Cora, from Wellington, is at present lying off the bar. She will probably sail in directly she gets a westerly breeze. The steamers fh port will leave today.
