ZADKIEL'S PROPHECIES.
♦ — ■ Zadkiel Tao Sze, the astrologer, has issued his almanac for 1879, which is the 47ih yearly .edition. Its contents are as -wonderful as ever, and show, aa he himself de« ciares, "that the belief in planetary influence is spreading wherever men's minds are free from the thraldom of sacerdotal and philosophical cant." The stars, he assures us, promise a fearful list of disturbances for 1879. In the month of March the political atmosphere will be tur» bulent, and meu will sigh for peace and prosperity. Russia will be in a poor way, for many a deed of vengeance will be perpetrated in her great cities. On June 8, Mars enters his own sign, Aries, and joins Saturn on the 30th ; so that England wifl during the month lie under the incubus of two malefic planets being located in her ruling sign. Many domestic horrors will occur ri and ifc wiil be providential if both England and Germany escape foreign war. Certain Royal personages are warned against sunstroke as well as other strokes. In July death will be busy among the great, and among the sufferers will be " two scions of v llojal family dear to the British public." Another July prediction is that the Czar will again be in trouble, and will have to increase his armies. August is .full, of .warnings to English Royal personages, as, for instance, " Uranus is now in square, aspect to the moon's/place, in a certain Eoyal horoscope, threatening a sudden and unexpected blow." There will be many troubles . over the world in September; but British patriots will be exceedingly glad to know, on the authority of Zadkiel, that although diphtheria and quinsy will be fatal in England and Wales, England's star will nevertheless shine brightly, because " the Royal horoscope has influence's" operating which cannot fail to enhance her ..glory, honor, and renown." Octobe a month of bloodshed in many quarters, but stiU^tie Royal horoscope tells of gain and victory for " Uld England " Asia ilinor will flow with blood in November ; but that won't matter much, since Jupiter having become direct in motion, will again,? benefit " Portugal, Calabria, Alexandria, and liverton ! " Last of all comes December, in which month, according to Zadkiel, more than one dynasty in Europe will tremble for existence ; the Socialists will become a terror to society, and the uprising of the Slav and Greek races will shake the East of Europe to its foundations. Thanks to the stars, however England will be safe ; and Zadkiel, the cunning courtier-prophet, loyally .concludes liis astrological predictions bjyiliouting, " God save the Royal Family !"
