ChklßTChuch, Sept 4. Business duridg the weekhaa been quiet, and transactions have not been numerous or on a larg# scale. In wheat there is no change of importance to note. Good milling samples are still readily saleable at 4s »and for choice lots of seed Tuscan as chas 5s has been paid. The quantity comfoi war.d is 'small. Flour has been in fair demand for bakers' lots at £1,2, but the export business has been quiet, as outside buyers prefer to run their stocks low before operating. Oats continue without any sign of improvement, southern parcels of feed offering at 2s to 2s 2d, without resulting in much business. Good heavy milling sorts Bell readily at 2s 4d. This class of oats is however in limited supply. Oatmeal manufacturers have reduced their prices £1 per ton, present^quotation for 251 b bags being £14 per ton. Good malting barley is inquired for, and would command 6s readily, but the quantity Offering ia small. Potatoes have had a fair amount of attention xUmng the week, and considerable sales haveTJeen made « £3 5s to £3 10s. Butter is in good request at Is to Is Id for good quality, of .which but little is offering. Cheese continues dull at s|d, buyers being disinclined to operate as stocks are reported considerable.
