To-morrow*(Satui'day) the Electors of Manawatu will be required to register their votes. The candidates arft — Messrs Johnston, Halcombe,and Snelson. The first is a gentleman of experience, influence, and weight, who has represented us for ten years. The second iga gentleman of ambition, but destitute of brain power or love of the district, full 'of selfishness, and deadly opposed to every part of the County but Feilding ; he has had experience, which damns his cause, as it proved him^uicompe|ent, weakminded, and unstable. |^i=r third is a gentleman of kindlyiflelmg and generous impulse, but lacking) those qualitiess.which enable men to tussle ? and fight on the floor of the EWiise. The men are all well known to the constituents ; we trust andbelicve they wjyjjaet iipontjjjy; knowledge and put Mr^Tohnstdn a^be head of the poH.
