Hams and bacon have been in little demand, our market being almost bare, and but few parcels of the seasou's cure as yet to hand. Southern flour ha 3 been advanced by the millers 20s per ton, and best brands of Oamaru and Canterbury mills are now .worth £11 10s for sacks, but ns stocks in town are pretty large and equally so at the ports of shipment, we do not look for any further rise. Oats continue low, with ample stocks in dealers' and importers' hands. A parcel of 1000 bags were cleared at auction by >. Messrs Laery and Campbell at. 2s 3d to 2s 6d per bushel, in trade lots, Holders quote 2s 6d to 2s 9d for good samples. Maize is rather scarce at 4s to 4s 4d ; bran dull at 9d to to lOd per bushel; pollard, £5 to £5 10s per ton. There is no wheat for fowl feed in stock. Potatoes.— Market moderately supplied at 100s to 1108 ptr ton, but it is doubtful if those rates could be obtained for a shipment, as the season is too far advanced. — N. Z. Times.
