Tucker in tow ; cast her off at 7 p.m., nnd proceeded towards Foxton; paused Kipiti at 1.30 a.m. yesterday morning, arrived off tho bar at 4 a.m., crossed at 7.20, and arrived alongside Foxton wharf at 8 a m. The p8 Sampson got out of the river on Monday morning with a cargo of railway material for the ship Matilda, which is anchored off Ktpiti. Having discharged cargo, she returned to Hartley's on Wednesday morning at daylight. It is expected the Matilda will tako the whole of the stuff 'i om thp Hydi'Abad tying at liurtl.-y's, except perhaps 100 tons. Tho ss Jiiim Douglas arrived yesterday morning from Wellington. She leaves for Hangitikei aad Wellington to-d;*y. The ss lluia siiled for Wellington last night, at 6 o'clock.
