FOXTON WHARF RATES.

In the course of an interview with Mr Rotheram on Wednesday last, that gentleman expressed himself extremely surprised at the recent Gazette notice of rates at Foxton and East Town Wharves, and informed us that he intended to telegraph to the Commissioner upon the subject. Mr Eotheram's opinion was, that an error had been made whilst giving publicity to the reduction on white pine. Whether any mistake has been made or not, one thing is certain, that the rates we published are in force at this moment upon the Foxton wharf. It is therefore necessary to take action, and bring the matter again before Government in order to obtain justice. We understand a meeting will be held at Messrs Thynne, Linton and Co's office this morning at 10 o'clock, of those gentlemen who duputationised Mr Lawßon, to consider the matter.
