London, June 10, Three per cent consols 97£. Since the opening of the sales 235,000 bales of wool have been of. fered. Wool continues firm and is in active demand chiefly in greasy qualities, which rule a halfpenny higher. Scoured has advanced £d to Id per lb, Sydney, Thursday. The Legislative couucil has thrown out the bill proposing to abolish the penalty of death for raps. The amending Land Act, has been p assed by the Legislative assembly.
