ROBBERY AT FEILDING.

♦ (From Our Own Correspondent.) Feildixg, Monday, 7 p.m. A daring robbery has taken place at the residence of Constable Price, about a mile from Feilding. It appears a man had been engaged to paper the house, when Mrs Price went into the bedroom, where the man wus working, and took some money from a chest of drawers, placing £75 in a bag back in them. She locked the chest, laid the keys aHide, and started off to Feilding. About 5.30 p.m., as she returned, smoke was seen issuing from underneath the hou33. The fire was soon extinguished, and no attention was paid to it, Mrs Price thinking it was caused by the young children who were left at home. The keys were not raiosed for two or three days, but on Sunday young Price missed a new pair of patent leather shoes. He expressed his suspicions, and diligent search was at once made for the missing keys. Meantime Constable Price was sent for from Feilding, and on his arrival, the drawer was prized open with a chisel, and it was at once seen that £75 in notes had been stolen.
