MESSRS THYNNE, LINTON & CO.'S LAND SALE. ■ » This firm held their regular monthly land sale at Palmnrston on Wednesday last. The list comprised 7JO acres of the rioh bush land situated at Bunnythorpe, and most of the sections were intersected by the railway. Considering the tightness of the money market it was generally forboded that it was a useless thine to offer anything for sale just now, but it' anything certainly not land. Yesterday's sale, however, agaiu proved the high value set upon the land in this County, for every section was sold within half an hour from the time of commencing the sale, and it is worth noting that the purchasers were those who knew the laud well. All tho sections are bush land with valuable timber for sawing purposes, and though the prices wore high, yet the purchasers will assuredly make money, if they ohoosa, by reselling in a few months time. The terms were 25 per cent cash, and the balauce secured by bills at 6, 9, and 12 months, with eight per cent iuterest. There was not a large attendauca, but the bidding was spirited and quick. The following are the numbers of the sections and the prices realised : — Rural sections Nos 522, 523, 524, 525, 509, and 510, £4, 10s an acre; oil, at £4 15s an aero ; 1542, 1533, and 1534, £4 103 an acre.
