(PER PRESS AGENCY.)
Wellington, Monday, 7.30 p.m. Henry Anderson, of the Evening Chronicle, was bi ought up this morn« ing, charged with having committed a deadly assault upon K. C, Easby, blind maker, in his own house, but this information vras amended to one of " wilfully and maliciously wounding" Kasby with a pair of tonga, such being an indictable offence. The Magistrate said the case was of too serious a nature for him to deal with it. Anderson's counsel notified that his client had laid a counter-informa-tion of a precisely similar nature against Easby. After taking evidence of Kasby, who appeared to be very much cut and bruisad about the face, tbe case was adjourned till Wednes->~ day. -?
