The following is the annual value of rateable property in the County of Hanawatu: — Manchester Highways Board £32,506 Mauawatu Highways Board — Sancbn .. 8,438 Carnarvon .. .. 11,447 Foxton (outskirts and Motoa .. v. 4,398 Karere & Rangitikei line 3,356 Fitzherbert ... ... 2,039 Si oney Creek and KangitikeiLine 3,773 Kiwitsa 6,227 Foxton Local Board .. .. 6,542 Otaki Highways Board ... 2,255 Fa lmerston Borough .. 11,601 £9-2,582 The increase in the Manchester Highways District is 33 per cent ; in the Manawatu Highways District 25 per cent; in Palmerston, about 20 per cent. There is a small increase in the Foxton and Otaki Difltriottr.
