CATTLE YARDS AT FOXTON.
TO THB EDITO-l 0_" THIS jTAMAWATU IH-HAID. '^ Sea, — Would you Madly insert the following in your valuable paper. Having drivon cattle between Foxton and Palmerston, aud being likely to drive a good many more, I find the journey very expensive and dangerous, being partly through unfenced bush country. Having enquired if cattle could be conveyed by rail, I was informed there were plenty of vans, but no yards to joao. them. Now I fail to see why there should be yards at Palmerston, and none at Foxton, as the one lot of yards can be of no use without the other. If the yards werb erected at Foxton, they would be a great convenience to the public, and would reduce the expense of driving cattle by one-half ; also, the journey could be accomplished without danger. Hoping this gentlehint will cause some move. • -•-.• -I am, &c, Eobt. Edwards. Moutoa, March 25.
