(pee press agency.) Wellington, Monday, 7 p.m. The Governor embarked per Uinga^ rooma, under guard of honor, shortly after three o'clock. The wharf was crowded for throe houre. Lusty cheers were given for his Lordship and Lady Normanby, led by Mayor Dransfield. The Governor, on reach* ing the deck, thanked the citizens, and heartily wished them prosperity and happiness, A. salute of 17 guns was fired from the Reolaimed Land.
At a meeting of creditors in the estate of John Henderson, O.E , the assets were pat down at £53,158, and liabilities at £18,486. The assets include £25,000 due by Brogdon and Sons, contingent on the payment by the New Zealaud Government of oontract monies for construction of railways ; from Oamaru Corporation, £15,000; Baron and Mena Banks, Brazil, £2000 ; land in New Brunswick, £500. The meeting adjourned for ten days.
The Jane Douglas sailed for Fox« ton at 6 p.m.
