FOXTOX LOCAL BOARD. IT IS HEREBY publicly notified that it is the intention of the above Board, at its meeting on Tuesday, the 10th of December, to strike a General Rate of one shilling in the iJ on the annual value of all rateable properties in the Local Board district, and that such rate is for the period of one year from the first day of April last, to the thirty-first day of March nexc ensuing. The rate will be due and payable on the 11th day of December next, at the office of the Board, Foxton. Every lot submitted will be carefully valued prior to the sale, thus affording the owners the satisfaction of knowing that no lots will be sacrificed, but that full market rates will be obtained. The Company acting strictly as SELLING BROKERS ONLY is a further guarantee that ALL PRODUCE will realise its HIGHEST VALUE. The charges will be moderate. On wool offered for sale and withdrawn the nominal charge is Is per bale. On wool sold the following is the scale : — Receiving, weighing, warehousing and store, l-Bth of Id per )b. Repacking sample bales (when required), 5s per bale. Insurance. — 2s 6d per cent on market value. This charge protects the goods from the time they enter the warehouse, and is made in all cases, unless specially instructed to the contrary. Advertising for sale and catalogue ing, 3d per bale. Commission : On soles over £500, 1 J per cent ; under that sum, 2] per cent. Charges on Produce. — On Sheep* skins and Hides, 2£ per cent, commission only. On Tallow, a receiving and delivering charge of 6d per cwt, in addition to commission of 2£ per cent, will be charged.
