The Emperor of ltussia has assured the British Ambassador at St Petersburg that he wishes faithfully to execute tho troaty of Berlin, and that it was only in order to bring about the desired pacification that he occupied the Turkish territory. The Czar has formally announced to the British Government that he intends fulfilling the treaty of Berlin, and has directed the Imperial officials accordingly. A Berlin telegram says that Germany has decided to occupy the whole of tho Saraoan Group. Lord Salisbury has informed Spain that England i§ prepared to revise the wine duties. — - - Madras, November 14. ' Gold has been discovered at Wynaad, Madras. J^ St. Petersburg, November 1-ff* Russia supports French intervention on behalf of Greece. Constantinople, November 12. Turkey is appointing delogates to arrange to rectify the Greek frontier. The Sultan is sending an envoy to Cabul desiring the Ameer to submit to England. Sydney, November 14. The latest New Caledonian news, to the 7th instant, says a number of successes are reported to have been made against ihe insurgents by the troops and friendly natives. Over one hundred rebels are stated to havo been killed and wounded. No casualty to tho whites is reported. A great number of applications for space in the International Exhibition have been received from England and the Continent of Europe.
