New Plymouth. Mr. "Roy, solicitor, of Hawera, who went froia here on Thursday by the j Mountain-road, has telegraphed to a friend, saying he arrived safely, and that the report respecting the hostile natives stopping Europeans is without foundation. Oamabtt. The topsail-schooner Wanganui, Mtom Dunedin to this port, overher distance and went ashore three miles north of Omaru. The vessel ii uninjured, and will be got off in a four days. The weather at the time was thick, and the sea calm. Nelson, sth October. Some mischievous person tnrned off the water at the fish ponds last night, thus destroying the whole of a season's hatching of trout, which were nearly fit for distibution.
